RUFA event dedicated to comics fans kicks off!
On 29 April there was the first appointment of the series “Comics San – comics and surroundings in San Lorenzo”. A series of meetings and presentations with authors and excellences of the contemporary scene, a project born from the collaboration between RUFA and GIUFÀ, curated by teachers Claudio Spuri and Gino Iacobelli.
The first meeting was with the well-known illustrator, cartoonist and designer LRNZ , who after the success of Golem and Astrogamma will present his new book: “Geist Maschine “, edited by Bao Publishing. The intervention was mediated by the lecturer Riccardo Corbò.

LRNZ returns to longform comics with a spectacular trilogy, at once naturalistic and technological. A world to (re)discover, a family dismembered by an impending danger, the dream of reaching a city, Otan, that maybe is legend and maybe is reality, but in any case means salvation. A journey, in an unrecognisable yet familiar environment, in which the reader’s baggage becomes increasingly heavy as the emotions become more intense. A narrative jewel without equal.
The protagonists of Geist Maschine are Sol and Len, two young boys fighting for survival in a post-apocalyptic world, where nature has taken over the space occupied by man with interest. According to their parents’ stories, there is a mysterious promised land, Otan, where they can return to a “normal” life. After the death of their parents, they make friends with Aiden, an older boy who is less convinced of Otan’s existence. Their encounter with a “geist maschine”, one of the huge disused robots engulfed by vegetation, will change the course of their lives forever.
