5 thousand euro prize at Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition, for the best innovative and useful solution for baby safety and the daily life of new parents

Innovation comes to the family. The “Design 4 Parents” competition is open, designed to bring the theme of neo-genitoriality to the attention of the general public.

The aim is to direct creativity to the development of an object or service useful to those who become mom or dad for the first time. Promoters of this competition are Filo, a company specialized in the realization of IoT devices, including the baby saver Tata Pad, and ADI – Association for Industrial Design, a delegation from the Lazio region, which brings together designers, companies, researchers, teachers, critics and journalists on design issues.

The contest was born under the sign of innovation and will end at the next edition of Maker Faire in Rome, scheduled from 10th to 13th December: the winners will be awarded during the event that, par excellence, combines innovation, design, technology, entertainment and business in a unique format, ideal stage for companies and innovators.

The call, specifically, is addressed to the research of new and useful projects for new parents, with a particular attention to sustainability, designed for the safety of the child or to simplify the daily routine.

The contest is addressed to inventors, designers, innovators, companies and startups. It will be possible to present your project by November 29th, 2020. The proposals will be evaluated by a committee that will select the 8 finalists. The finalist projects will be exhibited on the digital platform of Maker Faire Rome and on the social channels of the partners Filo, ADI Lazio and Maker Faire Rome. Among the finalists, the jury will choose the winning proposal, which will be awarded a prize of 5 thousand euros.
