Analyticz Visual Hacking (Dirty new media, glitch art e altre storie)
curated by Caterina Tomeo e Domenico Barra
The current Western society based on well-being and characterized by an obsession for perfection, conceives error as a defeat. The aim of the workshop is to analyze the error, which in this context we will call “glitch”, to show how this can be a moment of interruption and destruction but also a moment of reflection and creation. We will deal with problematic issues in a creative, critical and tactical way and the glitch will be the metaphor of the state of the art of contemporary society.

The workshop focuses on the fundamental theoretical-practical notions of representation of the “body shape” through basic graphic-pictorial techniques and the presentation of some initial more experimental approaches. In addition, we will deal with issues related to the systems of graphic-pictorial representation using the analysis of the works and work processes of artists of the 20th century such as Alberto Giacometti, Willem de Kooning and Francis Bacon.
Tecnica dei materiali compositi e innovativi
curated by Giorgio Marcatili
Composite materials are among the most technological and advanced materials, universally used for many everyday objects. Their knowledge and learning of the techniques of use, in addition to their mechanical characteristics, are essential for any student who wants to design or make modern objects. The workshop will cover both theoretical and structural topics, as well as methodologies and techniques for the use of the various types of materials most commonly used.
FANZINE – DO IT YOURSELF!
curated by Nicolas Martino e Ilaria Bussoni
The workshop is part of a project realized by RUFA in collaboration with the Istituto Italo Latino-Americano di Roma aimed at the realization of an exhibition of South American fanzines by the artist Aro Varse. The aim is to teach students how to create a fanzine independently: from conception to design, to printing and includes, therefore, the creation of a fanzine for each student. The fanzines produced during the workshop will be exhibited in the exhibition at Rufa Space.
Storytelling e immagini nel Reportage
curated by Michele Palazzi
The aim of the workshop is to accompany students in a training course on image and its narrative, equipping them with the necessary tools and knowledge in the Italian and international professional field. During the workshop the students will produce a photographic or video reportage, measuring themselves with the main phases of production of the story in images: the theoretical design phase, the logistic design phase and the production phase of the work.
PASSATO E PRESENTE: lavorare sugli archivi incrociandoli con l’oggi (il documentario e il footage in un percorso teorico-pratico)
curated by Elisa Amoruso e Gianfranco Pannone
The repertory materials are something alive and as such are put back into play by comparing them with the present time, with a particular attention to the humanity that composes a place.
The workshop will provide students with the tools to use footage materials in a work of comparison with the present that brings history and anthropology.
