Advertising pollutes?

Back DIVERSE VISIONI, the exhibition curated by professor Mario Rullo, now in its 17th appointment.

Making communication means to pour messages into the mind of the audience, this requires those who work in communication to feel the responsibility of cultural operators. The mental environment, in fact, like the physical one, is subject to pollution due to the sometimes desired, sometimes involuntary spillage of what can be defined “trash”.
What is trash really? What does the history of advertising messages teach us about it? Looking to the future, how can we improve the way we communicate?
On these topics, two experts in the field discussed with our students: Paolo Savignano, copywriter, and Stefano De Filippi, art director.
