11th International Ceramic Design Competition
The Rometti Prize, now in its eleventh edition, aims to reward all projects that offer an original to the art of ceramics. Participation in the Rometti Prize 2023 is reserved for students from the Art Academies and Institutes of Design from all over the world. Each contestant must create only one project, with a free theme, that succeeds in combining the work of art with the design object, according to their own taste and own inclinations. The projects, which must be received by the organizing secretariat by 05/26/2023, will be evaluated by a jury of experts who will select the best (maximum 6). The finalists will be entitled to a one-week internship in a manufactory where they will actually realize their project.
The interns will enjoy free of charge, for the duration of the internship, stay (room and board) and local travel, well as any trips organized by Rometti. Participation in the internship of the selected students is mandatory. Waiver of participation precludes the student from the right and the to access the final awards. Among all finalists, a cash prize will be awarded to the first place winner of € 1,000.00, the second of € 600.00 and the third of € 400.00. All creations performed during the internship may enter production, even with any modifications agreed upon in advance with the Author.
