Graduated in Multimedia and Mass Communication at the University of Turin, he holds a PhD in Languages, Literatures and Cultures in Contact at the “Gabriele d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara. A scholar of Cinema and Visual Culture, over the years he has collaborated with the Lindau publishing house, the National Cinema Museum of Turin, the Bologna Film Library and the Magnum Photos agency in Paris. He is the author of many articles in national and international scientific journals and of various essays in collective volumes. He is also the author of The Necessary Light.
