Miccichè Prize 2022

The Sindacato Nazionale Critici Cinematografici Italiani (National Union of Italian Film Critics) and the Mostra Internazionale del Nuovo Cinema are proposing a Competition for critics/reviewers, named after Lino Miccichè, founder of the Festival with Bruno Torri, with the main objective of bringing young people closer to critical work.
The competition is divided into two sections: the “youth” section and the section reserved for students from Universities, Schools of Cinema, Fine Arts Academies, Conservatories and film associations. Participants are asked to write a critical essay of a maximum of 8,000 characters (including spaces) on a film released in cinemas or on online platforms after 1 January 2020, or on a TV series aired after 1 January 2021.

Participation is free of charge and entries must be submitted no later than 30 May 2021.

The prize-giving ceremony will take place on the final evening of the 57th Mostra Internazionale del Nuovo Cinema in Pesaro on 26 June 2021, and the three prizes reserved for the section of university students are as follows:
– 1st prize section B: €500 + certificate
– 2nd prize section B: €300 + certificate
– 3rd prize section B: €200 + certificate
